Finally an update...

After a rough 1st game. Hunter received the game ball on his 2nd game. He had 4 RBI's. The team is doing well. Hunter says it get more fun every time he gets hits. We are proud of him.
Now for the more important stuff. School! The progress reports came out. Both kids the did same or better for all subjects, nothing lower than a B...for that we are extra proud of them. School is getting a bit harder especially for Kimber as they get into harder math and english assignments. She is doing really well. Hunter is reading away. He reminds me of Kevin when he was small. I remember driving in the car with him and he was reading every road sign. That is what Hunter is doing too, it's funny.

The latest going ons....

The other day, Hunter's first grade class was in charge of Chapel. They all had to memorize there pieces. It was really cute. Christine took some pictures with her phone because Mom forgot her camera.

Kimber continues to love dance class. They are working hard on their recital in June, that girl has rhythm (she must be channeling Dad although it's not the robot...lol; remember Dad's interpretation of the Robot?). Her teacher placed this shy girl smack dab front and center for their routine.
Hunter is working hard at Baseball. His team this year is the Dodgers. He is having a crazy practice schedule, late times in this freezing night weather (well freezing for us). He has a different coach this year and it's taken a bit for Hunter to come out of his shell. Believe it or not, he is a little shy too.
Here is another Hunter story funnyI think. He was asking me the other day if he had been baptized. I told him no not yet. I told him that I was baptized, and Daddy wasn't. He walked off pondering this...I was doing dishes, he came up and really insisting, mom I want to be baptized I said OK, we will discuss it. He kept on and on (you know how kids do) I want it, you baptize me...I told him I can't, he just went on and on. So I splashed his face with a handful of water and said there your baptized. He had the biggest smile on his face and ran into Daddy and Kimber, look I'm Baptized, I'm Baptized... I hope nobody thinks this is sacrilegious. It was just a funny little story.

Sing like no one is listening.....

I wanted to give a big Thank You to Uncle Ed, Uncle Gary and Kiki for giving Hunter his Ipod shuffle for Christmas. He listens to it everywhere, and sings at the top of his lungs wherever we are. He has given us and everyone in earshot smiles and laughs. It may be the words he thinks he hears...lol

A couple of things...

It's been awhile since I've blogged. We've been busy trying to get back into the routine of school and work again.
Kimber started back at Girl Scouts and dance class. Kimber loves dance especially now that her friend Kiandra is there too. She knows she has to work hard and listen to what Emi (the instructor) wants them to do or else they may have to do extra exercises. He's tough but its effective. There is going to be a recital in June, I can't wait for that.
Hunter has been sick with an ear infection and a terrible cold. He has been to the doctor because anything ear related now we have to extra careful because of his hearing aids. I guess the ears have to remain clear for the aids to work, now that make sense, huh. He's been extra frustrated lately for two reasons 1) His ears, he says; "Mommy I can't hear even with my hearing aids in", poor guy. 2) His favorite "scratchy blanket" is always missing.

Well I think I found the culprit.

'Coco' aka the blanket bandit, totally busted!

The whole family was over with a lot of laughs and fun as usual. We had a really fun day I hope everyone else did too. I didn't really take that many because I was running around like a crazy person as usual. Hunter took a ton of pictures with Nancy's camera. He was taking pictures of every one's butt. (?) I think there may be a new game, called name that butt...oh, help us!! Well now we are off to get things for the next party, Hunter's Birthday party on Saturday. Enjoy the few pictures...

Wahhh!

I picked the wrong time to hurt my back...I know there's never a right time but NOW in the middle of this busy time. I think I just bent over a twisted the wrong way and ouch. I've never had lower back pain before, and man it hurts. So needless to say this weekend I was basically bedridden. This morning I took four Advil and went to the store. I had to get all the grocery shopping done and of course the store didn't have everything so, now I'm off to another store before the Advil wear off. Off I go, wish me luck!

Let the party planning begin...

Whoo-hoo, I'm off work until January 5th 2009. Now I need to get busy around the house and be a Mom. The kids have a half day today and then they are off too. I need to sort through and mark all the boxes that are being dropped off by who the kids call the 'Present Man' (aka UPS driver). Lynn, Ed, Kyle, Eddie and Gary sent presents for everyone. I used to open them up and wrap them all, but this year's theme is going to be cardboard, no wrapping, maybe a bow...lol
Then I need to go grocery shopping for Christmas brunch, I was going to try a new menu but the usual is so good and pretty easy to prepare. So we're going with easy. Plus I need to get stuff for Christmas dinner, for Paul's dad and whoever else wants to come or stay over there is always plenty. Next is Hunter's Birthday party on the 27th, the first time we actually are having his party on the actual birthday. We were thinking easy food, like hot dogs, hot links, and maybe Aunt Kathy can make her chili that Paul's dad loved so much...hint, hint...I still need to call her.
Then Ed, Gary and Kiki are coming in for her party on January 3rd, thankfully Eddie is doing the food. Can't wait for that.
Well I must get busy around here, laundry is calling...

Special Guest at the after parade party

These picture are from the party after the Christmas parade.
Thanks to my friend Christine she took this picture for me.
We had a good time and of course Santa was the highlight after the parade. The kids were a little tired and thirsty as usual, but it was a fun night.
We will receive lots more photos from the Boeing photographer and I will post then when they are available. There are a bunch of really cute ones.
Have a great week...

A busy weekend ahead...

Tis' the season to be busy, and it all starts this weekend and continues on in to the New Year, our calendar is filling up fast. Tonight we have an awards ceremony for Kimber's Girl Scouts and then a little reception afterwards. Saturday morning Kimber begins her hip-hop dance class. She has been looking forward to that for a while now. Then Saturday night we are marching in the Belmont Shore Christmas Parade this will be our 3rd year marching with my work. It is a really fun night we march in the parade and then go back to my work on a bus and have a nice dinner and entertainment then Santa comes and brings each and every child a very nice gift. Sunday Kimber sings at chapel and then hopefully we can stay home rest and get ready for the week ahead. I'll make sure I post pictures of our fun weekend on the next posting. Well I must get back to the laundry, and cleaning on my Friday off.
Enjoy your weekend!
